My teacher told me that I have to take maths if I don't want the universities I apply to not look at my application- is Maths necessary because I really don't like it!

I assume you are talking about Maths A level. If so, your teacher is completely wrong. You do not need maths for medicine. You definitely should do biology and chemistry but I would email some of the universities and ask them which A levels they prefer, you can get away without doing maths. If you do something you don't like, you're more likely to miss your grades, which WILL hold you back. So get in touch with some medical schools and find out what your options are. Let us know what they say!
Good luck.
(I hate maths too!)
