Hi I'm thinking about applying to do medicine next year and so I'll need to do this UKCAT exam.

I just wanted to know:
Has anyone taken it this year yet? How hard is it? Can you prepare for it? How well do you have to do to get an interview?

Thanks

Of course you can prepare for it. Revise for it - not so much. But the more practise you do, the more questions you sample and the better feel for the style of questions you get, the better you'll do.

There is currently no cut-off score for it. They used a trial group of candidates early on, in order to see what kind of scores people were likely to get, and the average is between 500-700. Obviously do as well as you can possibly do on it, but I think its unlikely that you will get rejected purely on the basis of you score, providied your ps, grades, reference are sparkling.

G'luck!
