Description of Voluntary Work:
Volunteering on the wards might involve: - Talking and listening to patients, to help put them at their ease. - Helping patients fill in menu cards and assisting at meal times - Helping staff with tasks such as bed-making - Taking messages to x-ray, pharmacy etc - Accompany patients to hospital chapel services

Level of Commitment Required:
Volunteers should be at least 16 years old, in good health and able to offer around three or four hours a week for a minimum of six months.
