AAAa - AAA plus a minimum grade A in a 4th AS subject and an A at AS chemistry

Chemistry:

Chemistry required at full A2 level with grade A in AS chemistry

Biology:

Biology is only required at AS level , as long as you take 2 science subjects at A2 (including chemistry).

Other subjects:

Most other subjects are accepted as a third A2, they recommend you do one non-science to AS. For candidates offering more than 3 A-levels plus 1 AS-level: e.g. 4 A-levels, the performance in the additional subject will be taken into account in a tie-break situation.

General studies:

Entrance Exam:

Resit policy:

Due to the competition for places the number of offers made to students resitting A-levels is likely to be restricted. Normally, such candidates will be considered only if they held an offer for Medicine at Queen's at first attempt and achieved within one grade of the original offer. However, candidates who applied to Queen's and narrowly missed receiving an offer on the basis of their GCSE grades, may be considered. The offer for repeat candidates will be AAA at Alevel + A (AS-level).

GCSE requirements:

Mathematics and either Physics or Double Award Science if not offered to AS-level or A-level. In considering applications, GCSE performance in the best 9 subjects will be scored with 4 points awarded for an A* and 3 for an A grade. Points are added or subtracted for UKCAT performance and an overall score calculated. AS performance may also be taken into account.
