Resit policy:

We accept Resit candidates. Applications from candidates resitting Advance level examinations may be considered if the applicant otherwise meets the GSCE criteria. Such candidates will usually be expected to resit all A2 subjects not at A grade on first attempt, and to achieve A grades in all resit subjects

GCSE requirements:

GCSEs in nine subjects (a minimum of seven) at a minimum of Grade C: attained by the end of Year 11 and at least a score of 15 points (where A*/A = 2; B = 1) from the nine. Subjects required: Dual Science (or Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), English Language, and Mathematics (all at least grade B). Applicants with 12-14 points at GCSE may be considered if, at the time of application, they have achieved AAA in Biology, Chemistry and 1 other subject A2 level at a single sitting (plus a 4th subject to at least AS-level.

Scottish Highers:

Standard Grade Credit (1) (or Intermediate 2 (A-B)) in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, Mathematics, and at least two others (attained by end of S4). - Highers in five subjects taken at one sitting after 1 year of study, including Biology, Chemistry, and three others. Minimum of AAABB, and Advanced Highers in Biology (A) and Chemistry (A).

International Baccalaureate:

Higher level: 36 points overall (to include at least a 7 and 6 in Biology & Chemistry [in either order] at Higher Level [HL]) with one other subject at Higher Level (6) and 3 at Standard level, at a minimum of 5 points each.

Irish Leaving certificate:

Applicants with Irish Leaving Certificate (ILC) only are not considered. In the absence of other appropriate evidence of advanced secondary education, applicants must have an honours degree plus ILC attainment of: A2 in Chemistry, A2 in Biology; plus Physics, Mathematics, English Language, and one other at A2, A2, B1, B1; plus any other subjects at minimum B1
