Resit policy:

We will expect you to achieve the required A/AS-level results over the normal two year period (for example, year 12 and 13). Within this period, you can re-sit units within qualifications without prejudice to your application (you are not required to list unit results on your UCAS form or qualifications when you have declined the certificate - see UCAS notes on how to apply for further details). However, at the end of the period you are required to have completed the appropriate full examinations and achieved our minimum entrance requirement. Re-sit applicants (ie those who take longer to achieve the appropriate grades) will be considered if extenuating circumstances, as judged by the School of Medicine, contributed to an unexpected poor academic performance.

GCSE requirements:

At least grade B at English Language and Maths, if not offered at A/AS-level. We do not insist on all 'A grades' and will consider every applicant who meets our minimum entrance requirements. However, there is competition for places and applicants with strong academic backgrounds are at an advantage.
