Typical offers:

AAB - AAB, with an A in chemistry. A levels should be certificated at the same sitting, at the first attempt and completed in two years.

Chemistry:

Chemistry required at full A2 level (grade A)

Biology:

Not essential, as long as you take 2 laboratory based science subjects at A2, with A in Chemistry

Other subjects:

You need Chemistry and another lab based science (biology, human biology, physics) with an A in Chemistry. Most other subjects accepted as a third A level. A levels should be certificated at the same sitting, at the first attempt and completed in two years.

General studies:

Not acceptable

Entrance Exam:

Resit policy:

We do not have minimum requirements for AS level and accept resit modules, but, not A2 level resits.

GCSE requirements:

We look for good grades in a wide spread of subjects to include Maths, English Language and the sciences (at Grade B from 2009). Credit is given to grades at A/A* up to a maximum of 8 subjects.

Scottish Highers:

AAAAA plus Advanced Higher Chemistry Grade A and Physics or Biology Grade B

International Baccalaureate:

36 overall with 6,6,6 at Higher Level including Chemistry and Biology or Physics

Irish Leaving certificate:

AAAABB including Chemistry and Biology or Physics with A in Chemistry
