]]>Before entering a particular field of study, you might have considered the pros and cons that go alongside with your choice. There are no rules that say which is the right way and which one is not. Research shows that children start thinking of what profession they want to embark in the future in as early as the first several years in school. However, several factors and challenges come in the way that would affect these ambitions and among these is health related education like Medicine.
So why choose this course among the many that are available for the picking and way cheaper? Below are the top 10 reasons why.
Doctors belong to every community’s crème de la crème. They are always placed on top of social ladders and considered as highly credible and morally upright individuals. Taking up Medicine is a social status and this is undeniably true in other parts of the world. Fame goes with it too!
There is a broad range of job opportunities in store for every doctor who graduates and passes the state board exams. Jobs are varied depending on the specialized field of study and work is everywhere. They can get employed in hospitals, public health facilities, science institutions, part of a medical team, or work privately in clinics.
The world needs doctors in various fields of health issues and these requirements can be found everywhere. As global health crisis arise, we call on the expertise of medical practitioners to prevent if not solve medical challenges we face each day. However, not all doctors can practice in different countries or states as there are also tests to take before they can do so.
Right after passing the board exams, doctors begin a good life, with nice homes, cars, and everything you wanted to have. Yes—they can easily own those possessions. In situations where people find it hard to look for jobs or in countries that experience economic crisis, these medical practitioners are way above the poverty line. Job is safe, career continues to flourish and lifestyle is stable.
Graduating from a medical school is not the end of learning. Alongside a stable career, doctors submit themselves to seminars, conventions, and additional learning to further their craft. This is a welcome idea both for patients and would-be patients because trust and reliability is raised to a higher level. And with these upgrades come upgraded lives for them and more income.
If English is regarded as the international language of all nations, Science is universal to the entire world. Medical students meet Latin (aside from English) in school as some of the medical terms are rooted from this ancient language. Nevertheless, doctors can make themselves understandable to many patients even though they speak in different tongues because English is an ideally accepted language all over the world.
A health career is an exciting job as regarded by many students. Whether you choose to become a doctor or a nurse, both of which takes longer years of study, there are so many things that you can hope for. It does not take away the possibility of taking you to other places, learn new skills, and earn more. These are just a few things health care students get motivation from.
The high demand for health care professionals creates a rewarding earning potential. With several years of experience and additional years of specializing on skills makes you earn higher than the rest of your peers. Simply put, the more knowledgeable you are in your field f study, the more pay you are bound to receive.
In school, professors teach medical or nursing students teamwork as they are divided into groups to take on cases. With a joint effort, they learn to undertake specific problems together and take in each member’s opinion. As these opinions are gathered, they would come to a decision or rationale that may become the final output of the group. Cooperation is essential in healthcare practice.
Some people study to become nurses or doctors because they want to make an impact towards many people’s lives. Taking high earnings aside, there is something about other individuals that magnetize health practitioners. It is human nature to help others and the best way to do it is to help cure the sick, alleviate them from their medical condition to eventually lead a better and healthier life. Charity? Yes, there are doctors who work for free and take pride in doing so if just to help other individuals who cannot afford to pay.
Deciding on a health career takes several things to consider. But with the ones mentioned above, bet you are going ahead as planned. So, we bid you good luck on your chosen field of endeavor.

]]>We are currently working on a website to fill such a void.
Using an affiliation with Amazon UK, Medschools Online will shortly be launching a standalone website including books relating to all medical categories. We are also contacting universities and trawling websites to amalgamate the relevant reading lists advised by medical training facilities.
We hope to provide a valuable service to students and graduates where they will be able to shop for the materials, create a complete shopping cart, and process their orders via the well respected Amazon interface.
This is proving quite a labour intensive process but we are nearing completion of the design phase. The catalogues have been compiled and awaiting addition to the site.
This could be a very interesting development in the service provided by Medschools Online and one which has not been tried before by ourselves. As with anything MSO related, we are doing this for the benefit of our readers and would appreciate any feedback from you when its live and functional.

]]>In those 10 years the site has been viewed and hopefully appreciated by around 10,000 pairs of eyes every month (figures correct as of March 2014), who have come to read the information on the 400+ pages, forum posts and medical careers sections. This puts http://www.medschoolsonline.co.uk healthily amongst the most visited advisory sites for UK medical students and is a standing we take great pride in.
What users may have noticed however is that certain areas of the site were in need of updating. Our advice guides on courses had last been updated a number of years ago. Certain universities had also changed their entry exam process. And most notably, the costs of studying at UK universities across the board has been steadily increasing, with many now charging up to the maximum fee of £9,000 per annum following increases to the limits in recent years.
In 2014 you will start seeing a lot of changes to the website. Both in content and in navigation. We are going to streamline the way in which users travel through our pages and make the areas as intuitive as possible. We have also worked hard on a new layout which will enable us to incorporate more new and exciting features that we intend to launch in the coming months.
We no longer want to serve just those wishing to enter medicine. We want to create a community which is all encompassing for every aspect of your career path. And god willing we will do so.
During this process we would love to hear from our site users; we’d like to hear your comments on the layout, our content, what features you would like to see, and what it is that makes you visit and keep visiting http://www.medschoolsonline.co.uk
With this information we can sculpt a site that suits your needs and does so in the best way possible. After all we are here for you.
